Nvidia B300 Chips Found at China Telecom

Israeli firm Lava discovers 32 restricted Nvidia Blackwell Ultra B300 chips in China Telecom's network despite strict U.S. export bans.

Israeli security firm Lava has identified 32 Blackwell Ultra B300 chips within the network of state-owned . Using Nvidia's DCGM Exporter tool, which monitors server health, researchers located the hardware despite strict U.S. export bans.

The B300, announced in March 2025, features 50% more memory than the B200 and is restricted to whitelisted buyers. While Nvidia claims diversions are minimal, reports indicate Chinese firms smuggled $1 billion in AI chips during a three-month span in 2025.

This discovery follows the August 2026 indictment of nine individuals in for illegal B300 exports. As Nvidia develops new tracking tools, the incident highlights ongoing challenges in preventing high-end GPU smuggling to sanctioned Chinese entities.
