Samsung Begins Mass Production of 2nm Exynos 2700

Samsung ramps up production of its next-gen 2nm Exynos 2700 chipset, which reportedly outperforms Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon processor.

Samsung has reportedly started mass production of the Exynos 2700, a next-generation 2nm smartphone chipset. A new leak indicates that Samsung is ramping up initial production volume by 10 percent compared to the previous Exynos 2600 to meet demand.

The Exynos 2700 utilizes Samsung's advanced SF2P process and targets a 4.00GHz frequency. Internal tests show it is 9.5 percent faster than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in Geekbench 6 multi-core benchmarks, which uses TSMC's 2nm N2P node.

Samsung's MX Division is currently evaluating the SoC's performance, thermals, cost, and production capacity. While the Exynos 2600 used the SF2 node, this new chip represents a major leap forward ahead of Samsung's typical official unveiling in December.
