SharpEmu PS5 Emulator Hits 60 FPS in Six Games

The open-source SharpEmu v0.0.4 update achieves 60 FPS performance across six titles including Tetris Forever and Tomb Raider Remastered.

SharpEmu developers announced on September 25, 2026, that six titles reached a playable 60 FPS milestone. The experimental, open-source PS5 emulator achieved this performance with the v0.0.4-release.2 update, which tested a total of 55 different software titles.

The 60 FPS titles include Dreaming Sarah, Void Terrarium, New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja, Tetris Forever, Hoa, and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered. Version 0.0.4-release.2 features improved SPIR-V shader translation and updated Vulkan API support for better stability.

Developed in C#, SharpEmu supports Windows, Linux, and macOS by executing CPU instructions natively. While 12 titles reached gameplay, the project remains experimental and contains no copyrighted firmware, following the precedent of tools like the KytyPS5 emulator.
