A Chinese content creator has leaked an engineering prototype video of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 just one day before the Snapdragon Summit. This upcoming chip marks Qualcomm's first 2nm SoC, utilizing TSMC's advanced N2P process node.
The prototype features a 2 + 3 + 3 CPU cluster, with two cores hitting 5.10GHz, three at 4.00GHz, and three at 3.74GHz. It includes a Heat Pass Block heatsink and Samsung DRAM. Geekbench 6 scores reached 4,327 for single-core and 12,873 for multi-core tasks.
These benchmarks show the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 leading the Apple A20 Pro in multi-core performance, which scored 12,575. However, Apple's A20 Pro maintains a single-core lead at 4,725 points, highlighting the competition in the 2nm mobile space.
