The Xbox Elite Series 3 controller has leaked via the Xbox Design Lab backend, revealing four distinct SKUs. The datamine confirms TMR and Hall effect thumbstick options alongside advanced haptics. A holiday release is expected following recent rumors.
Users can choose configurations with or without improved haptics, which utilize voice-coil actuators and impulse triggers. The device features scroll wheels for audio, physical faceplate customization, and a shift to a removable, rechargeable battery pack.
This hardware refresh marks a significant update to Microsoft's premium peripheral lineup. With a Complete package bundling paddles and a dock, Windows Central reports suggest an official announcement is imminent to meet the projected year-end launch window.
